Welcome to Bijouxs Little Jewels from the Kitchen. I am Lynn Marie Gray, a retail store designer turned private chef, now sharing my collection of favorite recipes. I bring you you little jewels for your kitchen – recipes, cooking tips, equipment and pantry items – a carefully curated personal collection of favorite recipes from my sunny Pasadena, California kitchen.
My Bijouxs recipe collection began over three decades ago while I worked aboard a private jet, coordinating food and wine. Since then it has been a non-stop journey with food, working as a private chef and catering parties for my clients.
The Bijouxs collection strives to bring simple, beautiful, accessible and surprising recipes for the home cook. My approach seeks an equal balance on creativity and classic cooking practices. Core to my mission is my desire to bring a fresh, simple take on cooking, never precious or fussy. These recipes are meant to be enjoyed any day, along with the everyday beauty all around us, right here in our kitchens. A sidebar feature, “FIND MORE LITTLE JEWELS”, allows you to conveniently search for recipes by ingredients, meal planning or categories.
I also filmed a series of cooking videos for the internet channel Eat Drink or Die, on the show “What’s for Dinner Tonight?” View the short videos on your computer, with simple recipes you can easily prepare . There is also a printable recipe card for each video.
Bijouxs Little Kitchen Jewels takes its name from the French, “Bijou” means “little jewel.” For me, that means American classics like Pineapple Upside Down Cake, culinary basics like Café de Paris Butter, fresh California inspired recipes such as Potato Salad with Lemon & Dill, and travel inspired recipes such as Chicken Tagine with Green Olives & Preserved Lemon. An eclectic recipe collection, the Bijouxs are the recipes I reach for over and over. Food fads may come and go, but the Bijouxs remain.
Please join me as I share my collection of Bijouxs Little Kitchen Jewels.
