New Year’s Eve Menu 2014

2014 is almost here! Join Bijouxs in ringing in the New Year with style + economy–a little gem menu for a sparkling New Years Eve celebration.

It’s time to celebrate another year and our 3rd year here at Bijouxs! Personally, New Year’s Eve is among my favorite holidays. I love the whole idea of a fresh start, beginning a New Year from which to embrace exciting new paths! But of course, what will we have for dinner?

I brought together a few Bijouxs favorites to create a stylish + economical New Year’s Eve menu. A menu that does not keep you in the kitchen away from guests, but invites family and friends to gather together to create a meal to toast the New Year.

For a special starter, Oysters with Champagne Mignonette. This one of my favorite ways to enjoy oysters, simply dressed with the classic shallot vinaigrette. Order the oysters ready on the half shell from a local seafood market. Create a convivial platter, just enough for everyone to have a taste, along with a glass of ice cold bubbly. Next, a truly economical gem, Spaghetti with Saffron & Lemon–pasta takes on a golden hue with just a dash of saffron, tossed with butter and fresh lemon. For dessert, Bananas Foster Pudding, a four-ingredient jewel; fluffy and light–serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and perhaps a festive splash of rum.

As 2013 comes to a close, I sincerely thank all of the wonderful Bijouxs readers! Thank you so much for following along as I bring forward my Bijouxs Little Jewels Recipe Collection. 2014 will bring some lovely new things from Bijouxs, and I can’t wait to share!

Wishing you and your families the Happiest of New Year’s!

As always, enjoy. B
