Roasted Grapes & Goat Cheese with Lavender Honey

Serves 4

1-2 bunches ripe grapes (Concord or Red)
1/2-1 pound soft-ripened cheese, such as Humboldt Fog Goat Cheese
1 cup honey
1 tablespoon culinary lavender
Crackers or bread for serving

For the grapes:
In the middle rack of the oven, put the grapes on a silicone or parchment paper lined baking sheet. Do not crowd. Roast for about 45 minutes - 1 hour, or until the skins are blistered, and grapes have softened. Carefully remove the grapes, keeping the bunches in tack, and place on a serving platter.

For the lavender honey:
Warm the honey and add 2 teaspoons culinary dried lavender, allowing it to cool to infuse. Taste and adjust by adding more honey is the lavender is too strong. Pour the honey through a fine mesh sieve to remove the lavender buds.

To serve: Place the cheese on the platter with the grapes, drizzle with the honey and sprinkle lightly with additional dried lavender. Serve the crisp crackers or bread.
