Lovely little jewel teacakes inspired by a local bakery- No. 651 Spelt Citrus Teacakes in the Collection Membership.
The newest Little Jewel in the Collection Membership are these delightful Spelt Citrus Teacakes spotted at a local bakery. The teacakes spiced with citrus and finished with a lemon glaze. Finished with an edible flower from the garden. The perfect morning or afternoon tea treat and great gift giving.

CLEMENTE BAKING
Now living along the Central Coast, I like to feature local eateries, and Clemente Bakery is a favorite. I discovered these Spelt Citrus Teacakes there and had to figure out how to bake them. Think I got close. I went in and met the owner Craig Hurlbert and could see this is the real deal. Their RYE SOURDOUGH is best I Have ever eaten. Sadly I just learned they no longer bake that bread, disappointed.

SPELT FLOUR
Spelt flour is a flour made from a species of wheat with a nutty, slightly tangy flavor. It is a form of wheat so it does contain gluten. It can be used for making cookies, breads, muffins and other applications where you’d use wheat flour.
ON THE PATIO

Simple pleasure of taking teatime on my patio in the garden enjoying a lovely Spelt Citrus Teacake-pure heaven.
