Merci, Merci to 805 Living Magazine! Such an honor to be featured in the September Food & Wine Issue. As a recent transplant from LA it is wonderful to now live in the 805, with its warm food community and dreamy climate, these are little jewels for the any season.


It was a ‘big deal’ to leave my long-time family heritage based in Los Angeles, along with my lifetime of friends and head north to the beach, but it was time. Most of my old LA has disappeared, along the laid back attitude I was raised in. I still love LA, it’s vibrant and changing nature makes is a fast-paced city. Always on trend.

Enter the 805 life. I like to refer to my town as a sleepy beach city which I remember from my many visits to the beautiful beaches, beginning in my childhood. It is always tough to move, whether across the country or down the block. I have finally been able to settle in to my tiny place about 1.5 miles from the beach, perfect.


I am a social animal and I enjoy meeting new people and developing friendships. I am blessed to have met some wonderful people, one is particular is Chef Robin Goldstein. She is a talented chef and kind person. I met her at, of course, Trader Joe’s. She is a very accomplished chef, with cookbooks, products, and beautiful catering and party experience. I now call her my friend.
Robin introduced me to 805 Living Magazine, which I admired for the lovely design & content.


I am so honored to be featured in the September Food & Wine Issue, along with food creatives like Ariane Aumont of Le Picnic, someone I have admired for quite a while. There are so many amazing restaurants in the food community, I can’t wait for the opportunity to explore. My featured recipes include Stuffed Tomatoes with Basil Sauce, Pissaladière Provençal and Santa Barbara Mussels with Pernod from my The Beach House Cookbook.

805 Living has an easy to access digital platform, which allows you to read the issues online. Simple. The magazine is also available in print, at various locations in the 805 area code. I hope you will take a look at the issue, there are many good articles to pursue.
