We were all taught that it’s not nice to play favorites, but in the Bijouxs kitchen admittedly there are favorites. Bijouxs Bits reveals the kitchen’s favorite towel, which may soon become your favorite, that is if you decide to play favorites.
The favorite kitchen towel is the 79-cent basic kitchen towel from Ikea. Beyond the price, here is why Bijouxs plays this towel as the favorite.
This simple towel receives a Bijouxs jewel rating, first because it is absorbent (how may $$ towels have I purchased that just do not absorb?), second it has a clean classic design, white with a simple red stripe and finally it bleaches like a dream in the wash. Did I mention each towel is only 79 cents?
I buy the towels 20 or so at a time, remove the tags, wash, and keep a drawer stacked with these functional towels. I also have a sustainable life plan for the towels; after they become soiled through heavy kitchen use they are moved out to the kitchen/studio where any kind of clean up may occur and after they have no more life attending to food, they are moved into the basement to live as cleaning rags extraordinaire.
Bijouxs favorite kitchen towel – sometimes it’s OK to play favorites.
P.S. The towels are not available online, and the price was 49 cents at the time I penned this, but alas inflation has hit even a Bijouxs Basics – still a little jewel.
As always, enjoy. B

I am obsessed with kitchen towels – and I have to replace them so often! I have no idea why I’ve never heard of these, so thanks for sharing! I will be stocking up on these little jewels for sure. 🙂
Hey Emily! I buy tons of these towels and when I originally wrote the Bijouxs Bits they were @ 49 cents…oh inflation, but still a good deal. Good to hear from you!
