EASY BANANA BREAD
Food fads come and go, but the Bijouxs remain. The Bijouxs are the simply beautiful recipes with the home cook in mind. My mission, when I first brought you Bijouxs in 2010, was to share my treasured recipe collection, along with some new recipe finds. Over the years Bijouxs has evolved, yet at the same time the idea behind the website and my cookbooks, has remained the same. Create a lovely digital space to explore both classic and new recipes; simple and accessible to everyone who enjoys cooking. Here I share with you Classic Banana Bread.
BANANA BREAD RECIPE
This favorite classic banana bread recipe has been hanging out in my recipe collection file for many years. Light, sweet and flavorful, this kind of classic recipe need little complication, no improvement needed on perfection. My only new recipe addition was to use the fourth (the recipe calls for three) really ripe banana sliced and placed on the top of the batter, conscious of waste food. I also sprinkled the top of the banana bread with brown sugar, choosing my favorite dark grainy Demerara sugar for a sweet crunch.
Now as simple as this recipe is, I do have a few little tricks that I think add to the finished product, check them out in COOK’S NOTES on the recipe card.
Short but sweet, bake Classic Banana Bread for a taste of home for holidays.
Wishing you the happiest of holidays.
As always, enjoy. B
