BIJOUXS LITTLE JEWELS FROM THE KITCHEN
The original post of this cookie recipe dates back to November 2010, when I first launched Bijouxs Little Jewels from the Kitchen. Wow! The IOT (internet of things) has certainly uped the food bloggers game, and yes, food is very crowded space. There are so many choices for finding recipes. One thing that has remained true here at Bijouxs. All of the recipes I post are ones I have cooked and shared many times with family and friends in my home, keeping it real in the kitchen. This is recipe No. 375.
SUSIE’S GIANT OATMEAL COOKIES
These amazing cookies came from a dear friend and were made for a large party I created as a Personal Chef. Parties can be exhausting for the cook, but baking these cookies ahead, placing them on a lovely platter is genuis. They disappear in minutes. For a smaller group serve cookies warm with a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream.
These were billied as “giant” oatmeal cookies and using a 2-inch ice cream scoop for the cookie dough creates a large single serving cookie. The scoop does double duty, a great size for serving ice cream.
Important to flatten the cookies a bit before baking.
The cooling cookies fragrance of cinnamon and sugar is enticing for guests, if you can bake the cookies the morning of the party, the whole house will smell like comfort to greet your guests.
Savor this little jewel from my kitchen to yours.
As always, enjoy. B
I just made these over the weekend! Long gone!!!!
