Vegetable versatility is always a great little jewel in the kitchen. Here’s a quick way with the old friend cauliflower that changes things up – a stir-fry ready in minutes for a quick, healthy side dish. Stir-fried Cauliflower, another little jewel from the collection.

Cauliflower for sure has been having its moment with an abundance of recipes revamping this stodgy old friend. Recipes range from new school roasting to the older-school puree, but for everyday I enjoy this quick stir-fry method. A little more vegetable versatility never hurts.

Stir-fried Cauliflower is quick and makes a tasty side dish, so here are just a few notes. You will need a food processor to prep the cauliflower for the stir-fry to achieve the even, fine texture that is key to the dish. Also, be sure that the cauliflower is completely dry prior to placing it in the food processor, you don’t want any lingering water left from washing, especially when it hits the hot oil in the pan. I keep grapeseed oil in the Bijouxs pantry, with a high smoke point (485 degrees) and a light delicate flavor, it’s perfect for high temperature frying. No olive oil for this dish.

I prefer to keep this stir-fry very simple, with additions of green onions and herbs, but add in your favorite seasonings to make it your own. Serve alongside other quick jewels such as Quick Miso-Glazed Salmon or Filet of Sole with Brown Butter & Lemon as a substitute for steamed rice.

Vegetable versatility and Stir-fried Cauliflower, another simple little jewel to add to your collection from Bijouxs.

As always, enjoy. B
